Joining large group performance
JoenVoLi will participate in Gymnaestrada Joensuu in summer 2026 with three field performances:
Sulamispiste – an easier dance-style field program for all ages (easier and more advanced roles). Information on the program, short video
Vauhti kiihtyy – a dance-style field program for people over 60. Information on the program, short video
Salamointia – a group exercise program. Information on the program, short video
Everyone interested is welcome to join the performances!
Rehearsals for the Sulamispiste and Vauhti kiihtyy programs begin in autumn 2025 and are held once a week.
The easier role in Sulamispiste is directed by Sinikka. Rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings from 18:00 to 19:00 in the pedagogical hall at Mehtimäki Hall (Motonet Areena).
The more advanced role in Sulamispiste is directed by Arja. Rehearsals start on October 26 and are held Sunday evenings from 17:00 to 18:00 in the pedagogical hall at Mehtimäki Hall.
Vauhti kiihtyy rehearsals are directed by Emilia and take place on Fridays from 12:00 to 13:00 in the dance hall of the competition ice rink.
Rehearsals for the Salamointia group exercise program will begin in spring 2026.
You don’t need to attend every week, but it’s recommended to participate regularly enough to properly learn the choreography and movements.
You can attend rehearsals with a JoenVoLi season pass. You may try up to five timer with a single-entry fee (or a 10-session card), and if you decide to join, the cost of those trial sessions will be deducted from the season pass price.
Participants in Sykettä university sports can join rehearsals by registering for classes through the Sykettä system. If they wish to participate in the field performance, they must pay the JoenVoLi membership fee for the 2025–2026 season (€20).
Field performance participants must purchase:
A Gymnaestrada participant pass (€120)
A performance costume:
Sulamispiste: €73–78
Vauhti kiihtyy: €55–90
Salamointia: €0–60
A Gymnastics Federation starter license (€15)
Performers in Sulamispiste and Vauhti kiihtyy will also attend joint rehearsals in the Helsinki metropolitan area (travel costs apply).
JoenVoLi organizes volunteer work events, the proceeds of which can be used to cover part of the costs.
The Sulamispiste program will be part of the Finnish delegation at the World Gymnaestrada, held in Lisbon in summer 2027.
Important Dates
October 27, 2025 – Expression of interest to join the large performance
February 3, 2026 – Binding registration for field performance and deadline for ordering performance costumes.
April 18 2026 – Joint rehearsal for demanding field programs (Sulamispiste) in the Helsinki area.
Preliminary Registration for Field Performances – Gymnaestrada Joensuu 2026
Clubs must submit a preliminary estimate of participants in each field performance program to the Finnish Gymnastics Federation by the end of October.
